Just Wait and See

These pics don't seem too exciting but just wait and see what the soap will look like once it's cut. This soap I am calling Huckleberry Cream Kitchen Soap. This soap has a touch of cream, pumice, and is scented in huckleberry. The inside has a violet swirl. The pumice gives the cream color a speckled look that makes me think of vanilla ice cream. The soap is sitting in front of a fan for now. I should be able to cut it tomorrow afternoon and will upload pics then. I can't wait to see the inside!

You can see a bit of the violet on the sides in this picture.

You can watch me make this soap at my YouTube channel.

Latest Soaps - Cut

I think I had great success with both batches! I love them!

It's hard to see in the pictures but I think the holographic glitter is so cool on the little squares.

Made Soap Today!

Today I made a bigger batch and then split it.

With the first part I made Secret Wonderland soap. It's lime green with a blue swirl and blue drizzle on top. I chopped up a bar of Berried Treasure and pushed that into the top.

I used a baby loaf mold for the extra batter and topped it off with holographic glitter.

Then this one I left unscented but added in some soap chunks from a 6 color swirl soap (the scent faded to nothing) and then sprinkled the top with gold glitter. That is the reason why it looks a bit beige-y. It should be nice and creamy underneath.

Rainbow Lane Soap

This batch was not a complete success but I am still happy with the way it turned out. i love the general design and the scent and I will definitely make it again with some tweaks. It is scented in Juicy Couture Type.

Soaping Berried Treasure

After a long month, I got back into the soap kitchen today. I soaped a berry fragrance oil that smells very much like the SweetTarts candy. It isn't quite that sweet but it does have those notes. The fragrance oil threw me for a loop and turned my soap batter neon yellow. I've been experiencing that quite a lot recently. I used ultramarines to color the soap but they were so dull that I supplemented them with some pop micas. I made a regular loaf, a guest-sized loaf for the kids, two big hearts, and some small hearts that I might use in a later batch.

Overall, I'm very happy with today's soaping but the fragrance oil could have been a bit more compliant.

I'm not sure what I'll soap next but now that it's so hot( 95*!), I'm sure I'll be soaping more often.

What I've Been Up To

Hi all! It's been a long time since I've posted anything. Life is busy right now. We've been outdoors more than indoors and spending time with family. I made a vanilla soap a few weeks ago but that's been about it. I didn't take pictures of it when I made it because I knew it would turn darker over the next week.

I have decided to change my soaping name to be a bit more unisex. So as I gear up for that, I'll be thinking about selling in the near future using that name. I want to get it done up right so I'm taking my time and figuring out exactly what I want to do. I'll soon have a new blog, youtube channel, and website. When it's ready, I'll let everyone know.

In the meantime, check out this video for a little soap update.
