Watermelon Taffy and Blue Rainforest Pumice Soaps

Here they are! I'm so pleased with how they both turned out. I think the pink and green double-pour on the watermelon taffy is so cool!

Two New Soaps

Yesterday I finally got the chance to soap again. Firstly, I had to wait quite a while to get all my supplies in so that I could make more. Secondly, we have been doing many outdoor projects on the weekends so my chances to make soap have been few and far between. Everything aligned yesterday so I got back into my 'soap kitchen'.

I made one big batch and split it in two.

I first made Watermelon Taffy soap. I needed to split it and color it so I knew it needed to go first. I did a double-pour with pink and green soap. It's topped off with some glitter of course!

The other part of the batch was more Rainforest Pumice soap. I jazzed it up a bit with color and added a titch of patchouli essential oil but otherwise it remained the same. We found that we really love the pumice soap in the kitchen as it helps to get any food oils/grease of our hands when washing.

I should be able to cut these later today!

Fairy Tale Soap

Hi all! Yesterday I made a new batch of soap I'm calling Fairy Tale Soap. My daughter requested this one. She was watching a video with me of Karen from Edens Secret cutting her Fairy Dust Soap and asked if I would make her one similar since her favorite colors are pink, purple, and yellow. I happened to have just gotten in the fairy dust fragrance oil so decided to use it with the design. So it is a bit of a copy and I thank Karen for the inspiration. :) I normally steer away from making soap with such similar properties but this one is for my daughter so I went with it.

I tweaked my recipe and now I'm able to cut my ungelled soap one day sooner. It's been a real treat to cut my soap!

Calendula Carrot Soap - Cut Today

I am incredibly giddy over this batch. I just love it. I love everything about it. I tweaked my recipe and I was able to cut it sooner. Normally I need to wait at least 36+ hours but I cut this one today at just 24 hours. So that was fun!

Calendula Carrot Buttermilk Poppy Seed Lavender Chamomile ....

I think I'll just call this batch Calendula Carrot but there is so much more to it. I used buttermilk and carrot for my liquid, added a lavender chamomile essential oil blend to scent, and I added some poppy seeds for design and mild exfoliation. I pulled some of the soap out and added a bit of titanium white and the poppy seeds to it and then haphazardly layered/swirled the two kinds of soap. I topped it off with a little bit of poppy seeds and glitter too! :)
